At Callebaut, we source 100% sustainable cocoa for our Finest Belgian Chocolate. With every pack you purchase, a portion goes towards funding the implementation of the Cocoa Horizons Foundation productivity and community development activities.

Sourcing & Traceability

Since 2020, the cocoa liquor for our Finest Belgian Chocolates, such as 811 and 823, is made from traceable cocoa beans. The lots of beans can be traced back to the farming communities in Ghana, Ivory Coast and Ecuador which we buy directly from. With this traceability guarantee, we want to be transparent about the communities who grow our beans.

Cocoa Horizons Foundation

Cocoa Horizons is an impact-led program with the mission to improve the livelihoods of cocoa farmers and their communities by promoting sustainable, entrepreneurial farming, improved productivity, and community development that protects nature and children.
